The Video

So I mentioned in an earlier post that one of the things I've been up to lately was making a music video spoof. This is it. I was the producer, which basically meant I got to boss everyone around and make sure we stuck to the schedule. The perfect job, right? I do make a cameo in the video, against my will, I have to add. Can you spot me?

Happy New Year!

Mum, sorry about the text message at 4am NZ time - we were in a bar and had just finished the count down.

We had a great night, though. I didn't drink much, mostly because I was so excited by all the snow. Seriously, it was just pouring down last night. My biggest achievement was talking two boys into running around half naked outside just after midnight. One lost his top half, the other his bottom half, and yes there are photos to prove it - not pretty.

I didn't wake up until around 2pm today but I had a fantastic breakfast of baked beans and fried eggs on toast. It may not sound like much, but baked beans are impossible to get in Japan, and I was lucky enough to find a can in an international food store a few months back and have been saving it for a special occassion. It was worth it!

We then went to an onsen (public bath) where we just relaxed for an hour. It was great. There is an outside bath and I was just sitting in it when the snow just started dumping down. It was bloody awesome. Freezing cold walking back inside, though.
