One happy kiwi

Yup, yesterday was a good day. I had a good day at an elementary school, it was our supervisors' birthday so we surprised him at the office with a birthday cake and singing and stuff, I had dinner with a friend (Matt) at a new place (for me, anyway), and I got a parcel - thanks mum:) - with real toothpaste that actually has fluoride in it, and chocolate, which is why I need the toothpaste!

Ok, so the toothpaste is upside down - I got excited!

Sunday was pretty awesome as well. Woke up at eleven to neighbourhood kids playing a game outside and counting in English. It was pretty cool, actually. I was late waking up because of Saturday, but I'm not gonna talk about that one. Around 1 Matt came to my house for the post-big-night-out analysis, then we hit the beach with Dan, Rosie, Jo, Eugene (Jo's boyfriend) and Paul. The water was fantastic, and we were the only ones swimming! Eugene, Dan and I were throwing a tennis ball around on the beach a little while later - I had a shirt and 3/4 pants and sunnies on - when Dan threw the ball at me, then the next thing I know he and Eugene have picked me up and they dump me in the sea! I wasn't exactly quiet while being carried, and everyone on the beach stopped and watched. And NO-ONE came to help me!!! Did I mention my shirt was white?! It was good fun, though.

I rode home with Paul and Matt, and we were taking it easy when suddenly (and they assured me it was an accident) they ran me off the road into a foot deep concrete ditch. OK, it was actually pretty funny and didn't hurt at the time, but I felt it on Monday!

the damage from the drain

Ah well, the weather is definitely heating up. At 8am today we were already over 20 degrees. Luckily, I've finished work, so I'm hitting the beach - it's 2pm. I've said it before: this is not an easy job:)

Ciao.
